# Privacy Policy

FluffyVision ("we," "us," "our") provides a mobile application for pet care tracking, AI-assisted insights, food logging, and health record management ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described below.

## 1. Who we are

FluffyVision is operated by Mickey Golden King, doing business as FluffyVision (Covington, Washington, United States). You can reach us at mickey@fluffyvision.com.

## 2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use the App:

### Account information

- Email address (required to create an account and sign in)

- Optional display name

- Authentication identifiers from Firebase Authentication

### Pet profile information you provide

- Pet name, species (dog, cat, etc.), breed, date of birth, weight, sex, and spay/neuter status

- Pet photos you choose to upload

- Notes, reminders, and care entries you create

### Photos and uploaded files

- Pet photos for profile and AI analysis features

- Photos of food labels and product packaging used for nutrition lookup

- Photos of vet visit documents used for text recognition (OCR)

- Photos used in the "quick capture" and training upload flows

These images are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage and are only accessible to you and to authorized server-side processing.

### App activity and diagnostics

- Feature usage and in-app actions (analytics)

- Crash reports and error logs (via Sentry)

- Device type, operating system version, app version

### Subscription and billing information

- Subscription status and entitlements managed through RevenueCat

- Apple App Store or Google Play purchase identifiers

- We do not receive your credit card number, billing address, or full payment details — those stay with Apple or Google.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, microphone audio, call logs, SMS, or other sensitive data outside of what is listed above.

## 3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

- Create and maintain your account

- Save and display your pet profiles, photos, and care history

- Run AI features that analyze photos, food labels, and vet documents to generate insights, suggestions, and summaries

- Send reminders and notifications you have opted into

- Manage your subscription and unlock paid features

- Monitor crashes and improve reliability

- Respond to support requests and enforce our terms

## 4. AI processing

When you use AI features in the App, the relevant text or image is sent to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) for processing. We send only the content needed for the specific request (for example, a single food label image or a single vet visit page). We do not send your full account history with each request.

OpenAI processes this content on our behalf under their API terms and does not use it to train their models. We do not sell or share this content for advertising.

AI-generated content is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for medical questions about your pet.

## 5. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the App:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third-party advertisers.

We may disclose information if required by law, to comply with a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of FluffyVision, our users, or others.

## 6. Data retention

- Account data: retained as long as your account is active.

- Pet data, photos, and care entries: retained as long as your account is active, or until you delete them in the App.

- Crash reports and diagnostic logs: retained for up to 90 days.

- Backups: retained for up to 30 days after deletion before being permanently purged.

When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except for limited information we are required to keep for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

## 7. Your rights and choices

You have the right to:

- Access the personal information we hold about you

- Correct information that is inaccurate

- Delete your account and associated data

- Export a copy of your data

- Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the basis

- Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise any of these rights, email mickey@fluffyvision.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You can also:

- Delete individual pets, photos, or entries directly in the App

- Turn off notifications in your device settings

- Cancel your subscription at any time in the App Store or Play Store

### California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

### European Economic Area / UK residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Our legal bases for processing are: (a) performance of a contract, (b) your consent, (c) our legitimate interests in running and improving the App, and (d) compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

## 8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please email mickey@fluffyvision.com and we will delete it.

## 9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest for stored data, role-based access controls, Firebase security rules to isolate user data, and secrets stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.

## 10. International data transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers operate primarily in the United States. If you use the App from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

## 11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide a notice in the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
